She most recently made her home at Riverfront Towers on South Front Street in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. Bratton was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania on August 19, 1914, the daughter of the late Harry T.
She graduated from Sunbury High School in 1932 and received her nursing degree from Temple University in 1936. Bratton completed her Bachelor's degree in Education at West Chester University of West Chester, Pennsylvania. She resided with her husband Frank Bratton in Downingtown, Pennsylvania for many years; while there she taught nursing and liberal arts in the Coatesville Hospital School of Nursing in Coatesville, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bratton. She is survived by her sister, Charlotte L.
Malick of Middletown, PA; her nephew, Charles N. Of Golden, Colorado; her niece, Beth Malick Klein of Dillsburg, PA; her great niece, Amy Lynn Klein of New York City, New York; her great nephew, Solomon Malick of Denver, Colorado; and an extended family of loving cousins and friends. Bratton was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sunbury. After her return to Sunbury she enjoyed volunteering in the church office.
She was a member and past president of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She is remembered for her gracious personality, her strength of character, her knowledge of music and the arts, and her loving relationship with her family. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a. In the Apple Chapel of the Zion Lutheran Church, Sunbury. Burial will be in the Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
