This is a rare and original WW2 Type B RAF Flying Helmet, also known as a RAAF WWII Leather Pilot Hat. The helmet was worn by pilots during World War II, specifically by those flying fighter bomber planes. It is a highly sought-after collectible item for militaria enthusiasts and history buffs alike. It is an original item, not a reproduction, and was manufactured in the United Kingdom. This original stock blueprint was used for the stock and inventory distribution of the summer flying helmet for WWII pilots and crew. This stock blueprint comes from the Engineering Department of the Spartan Aircraft Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
