This is an original R-14 headset. This is an original set that was picked up in the 1950's from a Laughlin Army Air Field base sale. Of course it became a USAF air field in 47'. These are in very good condition and are very well marked with the maker and proof stamps. These would be an excellent addition to a WWII pilots soft helmet or WWII tankers helmet. Original 1940's WWII US Army Air Force Pilot's Type B-5 Leather Flying Helmet. Made a brown leather with metal hooks for the A-9 and A-10 oxygen mask, also has leather loops for the goggles. Inside is wool lined and has cloth tag mark type B5 DWG. 20790 also has tag marked Extra Large. Overall shows some light wear and age but looks unusually good for as old as it is.
