Initially used by the US Military onwards from WW2 and later in US conflicts in Korea and Vietnam, the Original Belgian Army Field Telephone was introduced to the field in 1937. The phones are housed in their original canvas bags, dating them most likely to the 1950s, with many printed with the ABL of the Belgian Military, suggesting issue there. It is most likely that they were surplus stock when made in the USA, and later sent to the Belgian Military for issue.    I had these for over 40 years and used them back in the day. These do work and send a ring signal. As of anything this old it gets cranky and it's rings then other times it takes its good old time. The leather cases are in good condition other than the straps which are broken. I can say the phones work but due to the age I can't guarantee it also. Great collection and conversation pieces. Uses 2 D batteries to operate (not included). Army, Signal Corps, Serial No. The binoculars show overall wear including scratches, discoloration, staining, missing finish, spotting, stiffness and wear to the leather grips, fogging and dirtiness to the lenses, chips to the rubber eye pieces, and signs of age and use; the binoculars are functional, however, the view through them is very clouded.
