Original WW2 British Army Infantry Lifebelt D-Day Landings. This type of lifebelt was worn by British infantry who participated in the amphibious landing on D-Day during the Second World War. The belt was designed to provide some buoyancy to prevent soldiers from being pulled underwater by the weight of their equipment. The belt is in good condition and complete with all hardware, straps, etc. The only defect being a small tear to the exterior near the inflation tube and some wear to the tube itself (See pictures).
