   Up for sale today is an Original Pair of WWII U. Army Mountain/Ski Boots, Type 4. These boots are marked 5 1/2 on the inside, but they are an actual size 8 1/2. I wear a size 9 boot, and these fit me perfectly with one pair of thick wool socks on. Troopers generally wore 2 pairs of wool socks. These boots measure exactly 12 inches long from toe to heel. From approximately 1943 to the present this style of suspension has been common to all awards presented by the US Army, Navy and Marine Corps. Original second pattern jacket with conmar zipper. 2nd armored patch hand sewn on with olive thread, and the outline of where a sergeant or T4 patch once was on either sleeve.
