This is an original USAAF issue spit & gaff set for use with the AAF Type C-1 survival vest. Two part set consists of the spear assembly which is complete with all parts. Both pieces are assembled for a typical spear for fishing or for use as a weapon. Good overall condition and each shows storage wear. Great item to complete your C-1 survival vest. This is a hard to find item. Equipment for the Type C-1 survival vest. Fishing kit appears to be complete. Front of fishing kit is marked, "EMERGENCY SUSTENANCE VEST TYPE C-1". Kit measures 3" x 3" x 1. The C-1 vest has a pocket labeled for the fishing kit. If you have a C-1 vest this is a great and hard to find component.
