WW2 GERMAN ARMY COMBAT HELMET WITH CROSS WIRE CAMO. COMPLETE WITH LINER, WITH WRITTEN NAME OF THE SOLDIER. THE SHELL IS NICE WITHOUT ANY CRACKS OR DENTS, WITH ABOUT 70% OF ORIGINAL PAINT. THERE ARE SOME PITTINGS ON THE SURFACE, NOT DEEP, CONSISTENT WITH AGE AND USE. MARKED ON THE RIM WITH BATCH NUMBER 2580 AND MAKER/SIZE Q66. LEATHER LINER IS NOT DRIED OUT AND HAS ALL 8 FINGERS AND DRAW STRING AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. OVERALL IT IS VERY GOOD ORIGINAL HELMET WITH HONEST COMBAT SIGNS.    This is an extremely fine World War II Model 1942 Camouflaged Army Helmet that is in very good field used condition. The camouflage colors are dark brown, tan, and green over a rough saw dust, textured finish. Except for a worn area at the top of the helmet, the paint remains completely intact. The liner rivets are factory tight and have never been removed. They are painted over with matching camouflage paint. The liner is complete but dark from age and field use. Super nice - Original WW2 US Army helmet complete w/ liner and all straps. Front seam pot, fixed bale w/ Westinghouse liner. Original chinstrap on the pot. One stress crack to the rear but it's really super hard to see, but is normally indicative of an early issued helmet. Great untouched helmet getting hard to find like this.
