Original Wwii Army

Original WWII German M31 map case in decent but well used condition. The closure tab is in good usable condition, which is rare for this model of map case. The internal divider is intact. The belt loops are intact and decent. All in all, this is a good example of this model of case. I rarely find one where the closure hasn't rotted off. Great piece for a mannequin. I know there should be a simpler way of doing this, but I haven't figured it out, so this is my best option at the moment. Listing and template services provided by inkFrog.   

Original WWII German very late war pioneer backpack for the 3kg charge and smoke candles. This is the middle part of the pioneer pouch set. It is unissued and uses the late war skeleton style clips and the straps are clearly left overs from other equipment, like A frame bags. They also used what looks like recycled Italian gray leather for some of the closures. It is devoid of any markings. I picked this up north of Zwickau in an area that was littered with textile manufacturers during the war. It was found in a local house clean out. WW2 GERMAN ARMY COMBAT HELMET WITH CROSS WIRE CAMO. COMPLETE WITH LINER, WITH WRITTEN NAME OF THE SOLDIER. THE SHELL IS NICE WITHOUT ANY CRACKS OR DENTS, WITH ABOUT 70% OF ORIGINAL PAINT. THERE ARE SOME PITTINGS ON THE SURFACE, NOT DEEP, CONSISTENT WITH AGE AND USE. MARKED ON THE RIM WITH BATCH NUMBER 2580 AND MAKER/SIZE Q66. LEATHER LINER IS NOT DRIED OUT AND HAS ALL 8 FINGERS AND DRAW STRING AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. OVERALL IT IS VERY GOOD ORIGINAL HELMET WITH HONEST COMBAT SIGNS. This one does has some light rust here and there but the overall condition is fairly good. The glass liner is intact and the seals are good. I have used one of these to fetch coffee from the field kitchen. It was very effective for that, but you had to ladle it out. Very nice, clean, unissued example of a pretty typical WWII German mid-late war Wehrmacht bread bag. It is maybe a little wrinkly and has a slight musty smell from many years of storage, but overall, it is a great example in otherwise great condition. Very nice original small size army boots US size 7-8 outer sole 11 1/4 inches long. It has some kind of toe caps, not steel caps but likely hardened leather caps which make it look quite nice. I believe this is original army boots for Non-commission Officiers, not post war reproduction markets from Russia. Because it is not in mint condition but good overall used condition still very wearable for re-enactment occasions. Leather is a bit stiff, need a good shine and wipe of dust from my crawlspace.
