   Original WW2 German M42 reissue Helmet. This helmet was reissued at some point during WW2 and given a thick coat of dark green paint to the exterior which there is about 60% left and interior has been overpainted grey, then a dark green on top, has few small dents but nothing serious. The helmet comes with its original liner which is in nice condition. The markings inside the rim of the helmet have been covered by the paint and are unreadable but the shell size is 68 which is rare to find such a big size. This is a nice and very rare NOS M-4 gunners flack helmet. This was used by WWII bomber crews and replaces the steel pot style flack helmets. It is designed to fit over a soft flight helmet with the head phones. This has some storage wear and will need a little dusting off. One of the inner ear flaps has a stain from long term storage. (see picture) The leather is in excellent condition. This has been in very long term storage and is just now coming out. This is one of the nicest NOS originals you will find.
