   Vintage US Army WWII M1943 Field Jacket 36R Usmc Named Worn Stencil D. Very well worn and combat work m1943 field jacket. This was used by DL Coats and he stenciled his name on back along with USMC. Don't see many with USMC markings. M1943 field jacket instruction tag still attached inside collar along with size tag marked 36R. A lot of use and wear and patina on this one, along with some staining and one small hole on sleeve.    This is an original, WW2 era M43 US army jacket that has some small flaws that contribute, however, to its great vintage look. Like many original jackets, the internal draw string is long gone. Size tag 40 R, no manufacturing tag. I would size this for the avoidance of doubt as a 42 R. Size and condition are very rare, I had to search long and hard for the large sizes in my collection which I could also use for reenactments on the original Battle of the Bulge battlefields around Bastogne.
