   This original road map of Tokyo was printed on October 17th, 1945 by the Office of the Engineer Headquarters Eighth Army and is an incredible piece of World War II history and the surrender of the Japanese forces. This map was printed one month following the surrender of Imperial Japan. The surrender was announced by Japanese Emperor Hirohito on August 15 and formally signed on September 2, 1945, bringing the hostilities of World War II to a close.    This is an extremely nice and well made example of an Arsenal made Japanese Army Shin Gunto Officer's Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful grooved, arsenal machine made blade that measures 26 inches in length which has survived in superb original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. All the fittings and hilt wrapping also remain in nice clean condition reflecting just a tiny bit of light wear to the wrapping.
