   Rare original vintage mens wool gabardine US Army Officers Trousers. Made in the USA in 1945. The rare "pink pants" in a pinkish taupe shade. Fabric is a heavyweight wool gabardine in a taupe that has a subtle pink hue. Zip fly with Talon V zipper. NOS unworn condition with a single small hole on right front thigh right next to the crease. Such an easy fix and I would highly recommend using a proper reweaver given the rarity and value of these pants in this condition. Smith of Florence CO, 37352998. He served in the 296th Quartermaster Salvage Repair Company, and he was in WWII in Europe from late 1944 through 1945.    The uniform is wrinkled and dirty. I was afraid that if I washed or dry cleaned the uniform that it was cause further damage considering the small moth holes in the wool. The combat patch from the 4th Armored Division but the insignia on the cover is from the 15th Cavalry Regiment. Both served in WW2 and in similar areas and engagements. I think the soldier may have been transferred from one unit to the other.
