   This is a Genuine, LARGE sized, WWII US 5 button henley wool sweater dated January 1945. This sweater was new, unissued when I obtained it 20+ years ago. There is Very little wear. These sweaters did not hold up well as they were 100% wool-no synthetic blends back then. As a result, they get "pulls" readily. This item has three small pulls that can be readily sewn. The product is an original WWII US Army M1937 M37 Wool Combat Field Shirt for men in size Large, featuring a solid green color and a twill fabric made of wool. It has long sleeves, a collared neckline, a button closure, and an embroidered accent. The shirt is a vintage piece from the United States during World War II, with a regular fit and featuring pockets. With its military theme and original period design, this shirt is a valuable collectible for enthusiasts of militaria and historical uniforms.   

Oversized to be worn over various layers of clothes. Has been cut open in the front and has a small hole. Please view photos for better idea of condition. First run Parka Field Pile Liner before it had the added neck zipper. A vintage brass Talon zipper is included for free if you wish to piece it back together as many surviving examples seem to have been tailored. Measurements are taken laying flat and approximate and as follows. Pit to pit: 29.5 inches. Shoulder to shoulder: 19.5 inches.

Buttons are in excellent condition with beautiful patina and no rust, Mint to un used, No fray no hole, no repair to report. Got it from a high rank officer estate. 2 stars on each collar. Got 4 ration books, might able to aids the research for new owner. There is no size label, but it fits closest to a size medium. Armpit to cuff Under Sleeve Length: 20. Neck to button 27 inches. The waist measures approximately 44. The inseam is approximately 26. Length from waist to bottom leg cuff is approximately 39. Custom Taylor made - no mfg label. Brass zipper fly mfg by' TALON. NO signs of repairs, stains or moth damage. PINKS are very scarce in larger sizes! A must have for older re enactors / living history aficionados.
