   Original WWII German Heer Officer Hangers. These hangers are in good condition for being 75+ years old. The fabric is still very solid, with honest wear and age. Nothing in danger of ripping or breaking. The backing has some mothing in a few places, see photos. The zinc hanger and clips are dull with age. The buckles and slides remain quite bright with very strong finish. One clip is bent slightly so it does not close flush.    Up for sale we have a truly awesome U. I originally bought this grouping from a man who frequents estate sales in the state of Missouri. Interestingly the laundry numbers on the shirt and jacket are "L-0174" which dont match to the laundry numbers Mr Caughenbaugh would have had. I know it was common for clothing to be reissued for U. GIs during WWII, so Im pretty confident thats what happened here. This grouping is just begging for further research though.
