   Pre World War Two era. United States army officer sword. Highly etched nickel plated blade. Makers mark at the recasco' American military supply corp New York. Made by Carl Eickhorn prior to WWII. It has the early style nickel plated & a black hard rubber grip. At one time, it had the offices name engraved in the panel, but unfortunately.. The name was buffed off.    This is a vintage piece of military surplus (army-specific) herringbone twill (HBT) fabric from approximately the early-to-mid 1940s. It measures out at approximately 44 inches long by 38 inches wide, just over standard yardage width-wise, and includes the selvedge ends to the fabric on both edges. Although the fabric lacks any specific identifying marks, such as stamps or labels, this piece was originally found with a variety of other WWII-era military shirts and jackets, and was most likely intended as surplus fabric for repairs of those jackets.
