Believed To Be WW2 Era, As I Found With His Navy Uniform From An Estate Cleanout. Not Sure That The Bag Is Military. Beautiful Painting Of Tomato's. WW2 US ARMY WW2 USMC CANVAS MAP CASE BAG BOYT COMPLETE NAMED & DATED 1941. This is a very rare original WW2 US Army map case, dated 1941. The maker name is stamped above the date BOYT. Named by the previous owners US Officer JOHN E. FINCH and Israeli officr name ZECHARIA EFRON. Some stains, otherwise the bag is in good condition. A great WW2 original item that served two countries. The "Coat, Mackinaw, OD", also called the "Jeep Coat" was first issued in 1938 (called the "first pattern"), intended for cold weather use by troops who did not engage in much movements, such as drivers. The Mackinaw had a water resistant cotton duck outer shell with a wool blanket lining. The distinguishing feature of the first pattern mackinaw was that the 30 oz. SWISS MILITARY original Folding Candle Lantern with original swiss army canvas bag and one candle. The lantern is in perfect condition - stunning piece (see images). The Swiss Army issued a specific model of lantern to its soldiers after the 1950s. This lantern is made of stainless steel and mica glass. To light the candle inside, there is a small door with a spring mechanism that allows you to load and light it easily. One of the benefits of this lantern is that it can be folded flat, making it easy to store in the accompanying cotton storage case.
