It is mounted with a machine made blade that measures 30 1/2 inches in length which although is surface pitted, does remain healthy in its condition. The Sword wears a metal D-guard with a checkered wooden grip that has survived well and continues to wear good markings. This is a very nice and very rare NOS M-4 gunners flack helmet. This was used by WWII bomber crews and replaces the steel pot style flack helmets. It is designed to fit over a soft flight helmet with the head phones. This has a little storage wear and will need a little dusting off. The leather is in excellent condition.
