For sale is a genuine pair of WWII U. Army russet brown leather Service Shoes (also known as Type II Service Shoes). These are the classic early-war cap toe style issued to American soldiers. Color: Rich russet brown leather with smooth grain-side finish. Style: Ankle-high lace-up with cap toe and brogue (perforated) detailing - correct for Type I/II early WWII production. Condition: Very Good+ for an 80+ year old pair. The leather is supple with nice patina, minimal creasing, and strong stitching. Soles show light to moderate wear but remain solid and fully intact. Pre-War 1930s early 1940s US Army Service Shoes. Came with a large prewar and early WWII grouping officer grouping. Marked on the bottom of the sole 8 ½ B and on the inside of the sole 8 ½ B. There is lots of wear and damage to these and they probably are not wearable because they are stiff, the tops looks like they were cut, probably due to damage, or postwar civilian-ization.
