Ww2 Service Us Army Green Dress Uniform Jacket Ninth Army Wh Many Chest Ribbons

   Jacket is post WW2 but metals are WW2 and Korean. This soldier would have served in the Ninth Army according to the shoulder patch. Among the ribbons and pins there is a Sterling Silver (marked) Infantry Regiment pin. There is a 3 star ribbon for European, African & Middle Eastern campaign service. He served in Korea and there is a bronze oak leaf among many other ribbons. Jacket is in really good condition with the exception of a small moth hole below one front pocket and a small hole in the interior of the jacket (see photos). Pre/early Ww2 Us Army Aluminum Type Ammunition Chest M1a1 30 Cal. Machine Rifle

   This is the aluminum box that I believe was used on the Phillips Pack Saddle. It has been used for quite a while to hold gun cleaning supplies and had some oil residue on the inside. It seems like the gun oil may have helped to preserve the interior. There wasn't a lot of oil residue and I have only wiped it out with some paper towels. The riveted in liner is still present and covers the bottom, front and both ends. The liner looks like it is in good condition.
