   This listing is for an original WWII Japanese Army Shin-Gunto koshirae (mountings) with a short wooden "Takemitsu" blade fitted inside for safe display. No metal blade is included. Included to keep the koshirae properly fitted and safe for display. Leather-covered wooden scabbard (saya) type (shorter-length set). Leather cover snap buttons: vermilion-painted; one side has lost its coating and shows bare/rusted metal tone. The handle-side fixed snap/retention hardware is missing on this type (as shown). Dark Olive Drab Herringbone Twill cotton material. 8 point top with 2, large, green "painted" steel eyelets per side. Original 1943 dated MOROSE CAP CO. Labelled SIZE 7 ¼ & 7 ¼ stamped inside sweatband. INSIDE CIRCUMFERENCE MEASURES 23¼ (59cm). NOTE: TS04/0S hand written in ball pen inside sweatband. FEEDBACK is important for sellers.

   Original vintage 1940s WWII US Army M-1943 field jacket. This is the harder to find 370D pattern B issued in 1944 with the large white fabric cloth instruction label added to the neckline.. At that time, it was not possible to use metal for saya due to lack of materials, so the wooden saya is covered with leather. The leather looks a little faded and lighter in color. There are some scratches, but it's acceptable. The metal fittings should have a cherry blossom pattern, but this item does not have it. I presume that it was made by a simple manufacturing method.
