   Up for sale original vintage WW2 U. ARMY AIRBORNE M42 TROUSERS WITH REINFORCED POCKETS AND KNEE AREA. They are made from 8 oz. Cotton twill cloth, in khaki colour. The pair features button fly, hip, seat and cargo pockets and slightly tapered ankles to make it easier to tuck them into the jump boots. These jump suits were gradually phased out and replaced by the M43 uniforms, however, these remained popular and the choice of many serving in Airborne units through to the end of the WW2.   The trousers/pants are 100% genuine and have no rips, stains, fraying, mothing or repairs at all. There is one tiny hole located on the top area of one of the belt loops which you can see in photo number 8. The zipper works great and is stamped TALON. The trousers have no musty or unusual odors.    A pair of original RARE 40's WWII US Army cotton OD combat trousers with 13 star embossed buttons & HBT inner waistband. They are in good vintage condition for their age with a few stains & a few tiny holes / nicks, but no significant damage. The buttons and stitching are all good. Vintage US Army M43 field trousers 2 buttons were added to the back waist to make it tighter at waist. I believe the buttons were taken from the front waist since they are missing in front and placed near waist adjustments. Buttons can easily be placed back to it's original place but I will leave that up to you since I like to leave things as found and not modify anything.
