   Vintage 1940s WW2 Era US Army Air Forces Flight Pants Trousers Mens. Good Shape, Untouched Uncleaned as Found. The waist measures approximately 15 side to side and the length of the pants from top to foot is approximately 42. Has some wear throughout from usage and storage including some staining to the front and back of the pants mainly on the back legs and butt. No holes, or rips, cracks, or stained blotches. All zippers run fine, slight rust in spots. Suspenders in ok shape, still stretchable and pliable. Shearling sheepskin fur inside good and soft condition, some slight smudges on the edges from slight use. A slight musty odor from being stored over the years. It is highly decorated with unit patch, non-commissoner rank insignia, five overseas service bars. Metal US and medical corps insignias are attached to the collar. There are five award ribbons: Army Good Conduct, European-African-Middle East Campaign with five stars, Purple Heart, WW1 Victory with five stars and Occupation of Germany.    Up for sale original vintage WW2 U. ARMY AIRBORNE M42 TROUSERS WITH REINFORCED POCKETS AND KNEE AREA. They are made from 8 oz. Cotton twill cloth, in khaki colour. The pair features button fly, hip, seat and cargo pockets and slightly tapered ankles to make it easier to tuck them into the jump boots. These jump suits were gradually phased out and replaced by the M43 uniforms, however, these remained popular and the choice of many serving in Airborne units through to the end of the WW2. One moth nip on one of the legs, see photo. It still has the original Suspenders. It has the USAAF Logo on the front of the trousers. They are a size 30.
