This is a WWII Imperial Japanese Army commemorative hanging scroll set, painted and presented in 1938 to celebrate the early stage of the Second Sino-Japanese War (known as the "China Incident" in Japanese official documents at that time). Does have the initials of the Officer, in my research there were four different French brigadier generals with the same initials. Not in perfect condition but in good shape.
