   This is a very rare Original Mackinaw Jeep Jacket from the Estate of a service member who served in the 6th Army. His last post where I'm sure he wore this was Occupation Forces in Korea Winter 1945. This one does not have the size label but most of his jackets are 36R. Shoulder to shoulder seam is 17 inches. Top collar to bottom is 33 inches. Jacket is missing one left Middle button. Jacket weighs 3lbs 7 oz. I can not find a jacket for sale right now that is in this good of condition.    US Army WW 2 1st pattern Model 1938 jeep coat mackinaw size 40. Condition is Used old original coat. Measurements are sleeve outside 23 inch. Pit to pit 21 inch. Length from neck to hem 31 inch. This is the earlier 1 st pattern with the olive drab wool blanket lining. Still could be worn or displayed. Please note there are some moth nips in the wool. Couple small holes in canvas.    This is an amazing estate lot. In the very hard to find larger size "for that time" of 42R. It also has an overseas patch on the jacket. The one shirt that does not have Master Sargeant patch on it has an Air Force patch to the best of my knowledge. It was with the estate when I bought it. The pants are marked waist 33 inseam 33. Large long coat is marked 42R. Shirts marked 15 1/2 by 33. This is in amazing shape for its age.    Early pattern rubberized overcoat for motorbike despatch drivers. Made out of heavy waterproofed khaki twill. Size 4 - Measures 21 armpit to armpit (laid flat). Length is 33 from base of neck to hem.
