Original Wwii Army

Really nice condition original US Army M43 field jacket, size 36R. Includes an original 17th Airborne patch with a repro Airborne tab. There are signs of where small chevrons had been sewn onto the sleeves in the past. This jacket is in excellent condition, as there seem to be no rips, tears, or stains on the jacket anywhere, and the color doesn't seem to be the least bit faded. However, the tag is illegible, much to my sadness. Armpit to Armpit - 20. Shoulder to shoulder - 18. Shoulder to cuff - 23. Collar to hem (overall length) - 29-1/4. I believe I can just barely make out a "36" ...

This is an original poster from the estate of Ruth Von Euw, originally from the personal collection of her father, Stephen Von Euw, who had been the editor of the Rockville (CT) Journal from the 1930s until his death in 1955. During World War II, Von Euw had made sure that every local serviceman and servicewomen received free copies of the newspaper wherever they were posted. This is an old item dated to the WWII period, as such, you should expect wear commensurate with age and use, as pictured. There are roll and fold markings.    WWII Original Red Army Soviet ID Guards Political Commissar Medals Researched. Issued to Russian called Salinkov Vasilij Anton, born in 1904 he served as Guards Sergeant. Fought in the 60th Guards - Mortars. Medal for Bravery 5.1944. During the heavy battle, carried ammunition whilst moving on the belly to eh front line. Battle Merit Medal 2.1945. Brought Ammo to the Frontline during the battle at night. Once he found ammo on fire and put the fire out saving the ammo. He had the following other medals. Hard to find these nowadays and many collections do not even have one - Rare....
