   Here is a neat item from the Big One--WWII! A vintage WW2 US Army Officer's regulation dress coat with epaulets. Belonged to an officer who served in Corps of Engineers. You can see this from the bright brass Essayons buttons. This officer was attached to the famous 1st Infantry Big Red One division. Just needs to be ironed or dry cleaned.    (J291) For sale here is a large US WW2 Army 2. Unfortunately, the maker's tag is washed out, and there is no size marking. The jacket features black painted 13 star buttons. All of them are present, but do show some paint loss. The gas flap is also present. This jacket, at one time, had an Army and a name tape, but these have been neatly removed, and they don't leave much of a shadow. The jacket does show light wear, age, fading, and soiling, but it is very nice with no rips, holes, or tears. The jacket has a laundry mark in the collar. It is hard to find these in this size.    This is an original, WW2 era M43 US army jacket that has some small flaws that contribute, however, to its great vintage look. Like many original jackets, the internal draw string is long gone. Size tag 40 R, no manufacturing tag. I would size this for the avoidance of doubt as a 42 R. Size and condition are very rare, I had to search long and hard for the large sizes in my collection which I could also use for reenactments on the original Battle of the Bulge battlefields around Bastogne.
