Original Wwii Army

Based off of comparisons of the knitting, stitching, and buttons to other confirmed pieces, I believe this is a World War Two era example of the high neck sweater that was issued to United States military members. Unfortunately the label is gone and the only marking is a stamp of a number at the collar, which I was unable to find the meaning of. Items has many small holes as shown, which is common for wool pieces of this age, as well as some pilling at the armpits. Original size unknown, see measurements in photos.   

This product is an original WWII US Army veteran's GI duffle bag, named and issued during the time of conflict. The duffle bag is a piece of militaria from the United States, making it a unique and historically significant collectible item. The specific region of origin and country of origin add to its authenticity and value as a tangible piece of American military history from World War II.

   Original WWII Issued French 1916 Battle of Verdun Medal - US Army Soldier. Nice original WWI medal in original issue box which was issued to a US soldier during WWII (in 1944). Very scarce to find one of these in the original box and with the issuing paperwork. But, this one also has documentation showing it was awarded during WWII, in 1944.
