   The hat is a non ridged soft Crusher Cap type of hat that a pilot would wear their headset over wile flying an aircraft. The Officers hat insignia is a "V-Wing" type of Eagle. The Army had both the "V-Wing", and the "S-Wing" types during WW2. But, the "V-Wing" type of hat eagle was only used during WW2, and fell out of use after the war ended.    ARMY AIR FORCES SHORT (3/4 LENGTH) OFFICERS HEAVY OD WOOL OVERCOAT, AKA THE OFFICERS "JEEP" COAT. THIS COAT FEATURES A TWO POCKET FRONT WITH TOP FLAPS, RETAINS ALL IT'S ORIGINAL BROWN BAKELITE BUTTONS. THE LEFT SHOULDER OF THE COAT FEATURES A NICELY SEWN AAF PATCH. The waist measures approximately 15 side to side and the length of the pants from top to foot is approximately 42. Has some wear throughout from usage and storage including some staining to the front and back of the pants mainly on the back legs and butt.
