   An original United States Medal of Honor (not Honour) neck cravat. From approximately 1943 to the present this style of suspension has been common to all awards presented by the US Army, Navy and Marine Corps. In early WWII the Army and Navy used slightly different suspensions from one another. The Medal of Honor is the United States equivalent to the Victoria Cross. This piece dates from late WWII or the Korean War era, based on the pad size and the quality of the fabric.    Group includes 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Burma Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-45 & 1902-56 Africa General Service Medal impressed named to CAPT. Medals court mounted for display with basic research paperwork. John Gordon Laing enlisted in the British Army 11/1/1937 and served with the Royal West Surry Regiment.    Korean War group of 2 to Corporal A. Korea Medal 1950-53, 1st issue, impressed named to 22560380 CPL. Korea 1950-54, unnamed, in original card box of issue. Jiggins had wartime service and was the driver of the Regimental Tug which was a turret-less Centurion tank used for supply and recovery.
