Original WW2 German Army M40 Combat Helmet. The M40 was the second model used during the war, it featured molded vent holes and a rolled edge. The helmet is in overall good original condition however, there is some pitting but the helmet is solid. Some original paint can also be seen to the exterior of the helmet. (Photo is showing the tops darker then they are) There Bottle green same as the collar on the M36 tunic. And on one board there is mothing to the piping. This is a very nice and very rare NOS M-4 gunners flack helmet. This was used by WWII bomber crews and replaces the steel pot style flack helmets. It is designed to fit over a soft flight helmet with the head phones. This has a little storage wear and will need a little dusting off. The leather is in excellent condition. This has been in very long term storage and is just now coming out. What you see is exactly what you get. Don't miss an original.
