This is a no bull shit original. This is the 2nd pattern 1st type. Regular first patterns are impossible to find and have the wire retainer. The zipper retainer shows up on the 2nd pattern/model. The 1st type second model has the air force number and is khaki. The 2nd type 2nd pattern has the 8300xxxx number. Still a very difficult to find piece of field gear. The item is US Made WWII dated. This is a sample, because I have several available. How ever, they are all pre-1946 dated. The item is unissued in my opinion but can have some storage wear.    WWII US Army Original M43 Field Jacket to a Technical Sergeant with ghosting of a removed 82nd Airborne patch on the left sleeve. The jacket has no markings in it whatsoever, but exhibits signs of wear and use to include some minor fading, rust stains on the insides of the white pocket linings, some paint splotches.
