These mummy type sleeping bags were issued to US soldiers in 1944. This particular bag was acquired from Belgium where it was found abandoned in the Ardennes by a farmer during WWII. It has been in his family ever since. This piece carries a lot of history with it as it was a witness of D-Day and who knows how many subsequent battles.
