Original Wwii Army

This vintage 1940's US Army military pile field parka liner jacket is a rare find for collectors of militaria. Made in the United States during World War II (1939-45), this original piece of uniform is in excellent condition and perfect for display or adding to a collection. The jacket is a size medium and features a pile lining and a hood with fur trim. The theme of this item is perfect for history buffs who enjoy collecting unique wartime artifacts.   

First issued during the Winter of 1943-44 to select troops fighting in Italy, this outfit was finally issued in the ETO starting in September, 1943, and to replacements being equipped in the United States. The uniform became common place by December and prevalent by early Spring 1945. This jacket and trouser is the clothing given to all soldiers except paratroopers. ORIGINAL WORLD WAR TWO U. ARMY MOUNTAIN TROOP SKI PARKA 1942. This parka is made of khaki color poplin and is fully reversible to white. All of the olive drab & white colored buttons are present. The drawstring at the bottom hem is missing. The parka shows some wear along the edges of the pocket flaps & cuffs.
