WWII Army Air Force wool jacket with patches, pins, and ribbon. 18 across back shoulder to shoulder seam. 18 across chest armpit to armpit. 30 down back from top of collar to bottom hem. 24 sleeve length from shoulder seam to cuff. There is one area with some light tan spotting, and there are some very small holes (I saw 2 in back and 1 in front), but otherwise this is a beautiful coat. Vintage WWII women's wool jacket liner. MEASUREMENTS (approximate): Bust - 40" Waist - 38" Length - 23" Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of cuff) - 24". The tag in the pocket is very washed out, but the size is 18R. The collar has a repair and both cuffs have a lot of wear: tears, holes and fraying. There are a few small moth nibbles on the sleeves, but nothing too detracting. Some light staining in places. The lining has a lot of staining. Offered here is this NOS WWII U. The revolutionary M-1943 set the bar for the future of Army field jackets: It was originally designed to replace the M-1941, which was found to be unsuitable for protecting troops in colder climates. The M-1943 was first issued in 1944 and quickly gained popularity among Army and Marine troops. It continued to be used even during the Korean conflict until it was replaced by the M-1950/1951. NAMED WWII 4th Armored Division Ike jacket to Cpl. He went overseas in April 1945 and served in Europe until April 1946 when he was discharged. The piece is vintage and therefore may show signs of age, wear, or patina. At that time, an unpaid item case will automatically be opened. It will be left, but please be patient. Good but used vintage condition. Judging by the 1942 date of the jacket, this may have been a tunic jacket that was expertly tailored into an Ike jacket later in the war. The jacket has a hole in the left side of the waistband and a few loose buttons. It also has several stains on the sleeves. One pair of pants has a few holes in the front left thigh, and back right thigh. There are also a couple snags. The other pair of pants has a few stains on the seat and scattered snags on the thighs.
